so tell me why this would happen? please read

i went out to my car to start it and go to help a friend with a flat tire and my battery was dead?? so i thought that maybe i didnt turn the key all the way back?(i can pull the key out while its running ).

so we jump it off right and it start with the assist of the throttle...
but my a/f gauge wont go any higher than the last 3 red bars of lean(narrowband) and it sounds blows, at 750ish rpms it pulls 10 in hg at idle.
when i jumped it off i hooked the ground wire to the iuim bolt closet to the alternater?

any reasons?
thoughts?
read my sig for mods. its streetported.
seems like its not getting fuel? but no reason behind why?

Why in the hell did you ground it there? That was a terrible idea, thats probably what broke it.

Too much current was probably drawn through something. You're supposed to ground to the frame of the car or the battery.

so whats the problem?? your battery died?? you must have a draw somewhere in the electrical....also how did you wire the gauge?? yeah i would also check i think grounding it there is causing a high impedence on the circuit, since it has low resistance in the circuit its causing the alternator or something to draw...?? correct me if im wrong??

Really need some help on this issue. I'd appreciate input!!!

Update: It's getting all kinds of fuel to the rail but it doesn't seem to be getting to the injectors. Can injectors be fried or stop working for any reason related to this?
