so should i?

ok i'm buyin that 6 port header for sure. probably around $230 with shipping. then i wanna straight pipe it. but i need new mufflers as well, but i was thinking of cutting them off and puttin pipes in place. but they say it would be to loud. so what should i do. my bro has a 1st gen with a 3" straight pipe and a like 4" muffler i dont think it could get louder then that? what u guys think?

If you want power ditch the y pipe and runn it back to just one muffler.. You might want to add a pre-silencer if you are worried about noise..

If you want to run dual pipes i would still collect at the rearend...

nah i wanna keep the y pipe it looks cheezy with one muffler. it looks alot nicer with 2 mufflers. the lip is already their on the bumper so people would be lookin for the other muffler.

Well the y pipe sucks.. I guess you could run a true dual..

If you do i would not worry about noise.. With a muffler on each pipe it shoud not be to loud..

Ya, go with a "true-dual" setup. Might want the presilencers. If your worried I am sure it would be too loud with straight pipes then.

The y pipe take some power away.. A single pipe will produce more power..
