So new problem car wont start and died last night

So last night took the wife to drive and it was ok. Got 50ft from the house and the car shut off while the clutch was engaged. clean shut off didnt even notice it shut down. Start if up this morning and revs up to 2-3k and then shuts right off clean shut off. start it up a couple of times like that and all clean shut offs. the last time i do it i put my foot on the gas to give it some to keep it reved up. then it idles funny so i reverse it out start to drive and again while im rolling with my foot on the clutch it shuts off.......clean shut off.

anyone know what to look for 88 rx7 150k n/a

check for vacuum leaks.... maybe a line popped off or cracked, if you haven't had them replaced keep in mind that they are almost 20 years old!!!!

Ok So here is something weird. Car started right up after i took these pictures. I went to turn it over to check if it would and it did. However the idle is real weird. when i rev it it goes down a fraction of a rpm and then shoots up to were my foot is in relation to the rpm. then it drops to 500rpms and then back to the standard idle rpm. anyone have an idea on that?

that hose is for your 5th and 6th sleeves... its suppose to be connected to your exhaust.. did you recently change your exhaust system?

nope still stock on everything for the car. Just out of curiosity were on the exhaust does it connect? also would that cause the car to idle weird or shut off if it was disconnected?

There are two fuel filters, one is in the tank, and the other is located a little bit higher up the lines, go to rx7city.com, and you can download a FSM for your car.... very useful thing to have.... reference the fuel & emissions section and there should be a diagram showing everything you want to know.

Fuel filter is under the brake booster, on the fire wall, fairly easy to change.

If that's the vac line for the aux port sleeves you can find out where it goes in the FSM but I can promise you it doesn't connect to the exhaust, at least not directly.
That line would melt in a heartbeat if exposed to such heat.

Anyway, from the looks of it that hose has been disconnected for a while and is probably not the immediate cause of your cut off issue.
