I'm taking the motor and tranny out of my 1990 GTU (N/A), and I was wondering if anyone had any advice for taking out the motor. Like certian difficulties to avoid and different things like that. Thanks for any input.

 

Get the harness apart first. That will get a lot of crap out of the way.

 

Take pictures, more pictures, then more pictures after that. Also label absolutely everything. Then take more pictures.

 

Use Ziplock baggies for the hardware. It helps. Throw away those stupid spring type hose clamps and repace them with screw type.

 

Bag and label all your bolts! That is all

 

Don't drop it.
