So i just pick up a....

well today i went and got a blown S5 13b for $50, and i looked down into the exhaust ports and the front rotor looks like the apex seal ate it. so i was wondering if i am able to get to just get one rotor for it and use the counter weights or do i have to get two with other counter weights?

Yes you can get one rotor so long as it is from the same year and the letter stamped on it matches. Actually for street use a letter off is no big deal.

You'll need an S5 rotor (lighter than S4's). The letter the previous poster is referring to is stamped by Mazda on the rotor and signifies weight (since not every rotor produced in each series weighed exactly the same). You can be a couple of letters off, and it is said Mazda doesn't always follow this on their rebuilds.
