Now, this is the first time this has happened. When I'm sitting at the light, a tremendous amount of white smoke started coming out of the back of my TII. Now I've changed my plugs wires, and did an oil change, so a basic tune-up, so anysuggestions why it would be smoking?

 

my friend's t2 did that before.
problem = blown coolant seal
solution = rebuild

 

or just replace the collant seal

 

well its a rebuilt engine, i put in the royal purple crap, and changed the oil again, cuz i was scared and now, that i've changed the oil it seems really bad...

Its not coolant trust that because i've filled it up all week last week after i did a radiator flush, its oil leaking, so could it be that my apex seal is cracked?

 

It might be blue, it's hard to tell at times. I thought mine was white untill I saw a large amount of it against grass.

 

mine does the same after idling for a while but mines bluish white but plugs are fine and it goes away after reving up or just start to drive stays if you dont touch the gas

 

What year is your tII?...if the smoke is bluish-white, it could be an oil metering pump sticking open. If it's an s4, the rod that connects the throttle linkage to the oil metering pump may be sticking. Check to see if the rod is not returning to the down position at idle. If it's an s5, the oil metering pump is electric, and is pretty much reliable. If there is a problem with it, there is often a code stored and a check engine light on as well. If it's a leaking coolant seal, often there will be bubbles in the coolant bottle at idle.
