I have a 88 N/A and it smokes but only until the engine starts to warms up. If it sits for a couple hours then i get in and drive it leaves clouds behind but only for a couple minutes. i dont understand!

 

Possible your seals are starting to go.

 

weird that it only happends in the begining. I think i've heard of this before though, tryed a search?

 

The motor should only have around 55k on it, thats why i dont understand it. When i got the car it just a pipe in place of the cat and on the way home from picking it up it smoked when i pushed it alittle on the highway, but i never noticed any smoke after that. I had to put a cat on it to pass MO inspection and it didnt smoke after that either, its been smoking for a couple months, i want to know if i possibly blew something or what might of happened. Im concidering a t2 motor swap sometime, but i would like to fix it.

 

And what color is said smoke?

 

Its just white, its doesnt have a blueish tint like im burning antifreeze or smell like it. It gets pretty thick sometimes
