Smoking externally near turbo - video

Well ... Nothing but problems on my car lately. The most recent, is this odd smoke coming out near the turbo. I have a video supplied. The video is a week old, and earlier today I finished removing the turbo and tightening up the coolant return hose. So the fluid you see is fixed. The smoke is still there. Yes the downpipe is snug and tight. I was hoping the smoke was just the coolant burning off, even though it wasn't a sweet smell. What do you guys think it could be? Hard to explain the smell, smells somewhat like burning. You can here air moving ... My thoughts are exhaust manifold to engine gasket.

I'm hoping I don't have to take it to a rotary tech, and find the answer here. Although it's hard to spot something like a leak like that on a video.

I watched the video and its one of a few things. First Exhaust leak cause that sucker is pretty loud in the engine bay, it may be oil return underneath leaking, may be EGR spitting out exhaust smoke, header wrap breaking in, or even the seal between the turbine housing and the centersection is seeping.

I would say just an exhaust leak. I had this happen to me the other day but it was because I sprayed degreaser on the engine and the turbo heat started burning it really bad...jaja

The top of the turbo looks like a spot getting dripped on. I'd guess it is in fact the coolant return hose just above it. Mine didn't fit just right and did the same thing.
Maybe try holding something under the hose while the car is running, like a piece of cardboard and see if you have coolant dripping on it.

Yea the header wrap is definetly brand new, not the reason though. Reason being, I had an s4 turbo on there previously, and it did the same thing. When I seen that smoke I thought well new turbo time might as well, so I found a used s5 turbo for a really good price. Still does the same thing.

Don't scare me with that last possibility. Rebuild is not what I want at this point. And if I was too get a rebuild it would cost some serious dollars. Reason being going all out at one time, with a streeport, bnr hybrid you name it.

I fixed that man. Stated in the original post.

I am talking about the turbo seal, not the engine. It would not cost much to rebuild the turbo
