Exclamation Smokin 87

So my 87gsl with 120,000 started smoking the other day on start up. It wasn't at idle, it was under acceleration. Then I let off at around 5.5k and backfired sto shoot out a lot and then it quit. Any ideas? I was told it could be a clogged PCV valve?

if ya pcv is blocked that means too much pressure in the sump, which means oil will seep through the oil seals. so either replace the pcv or hook up a oil catch can and get rid of the pcv, which has its benifits.

or it could just be worn oil seals

Thanks, it is getting pretty bad though. I could assume it could be the seals but it stops after awhile. However it starts blue and goes grey/white. Anyway I'll have to look into it some weekend, until then she'll have to tough it out.
