Smokey question

Ok there are so many smoking forums it corrupted the search and I couldn't find what I was looking for. Ok my 87 trubo runs fine and all (makes low compression if it's any difference) and today I pulled into Mazda to do some work on the car (nothing big but my right engine mount was shattered) The guy said he saw very faint smoke coming from my hood scoop after the car has been driven for approx 15 mins. I didn't see any till I tilted my head at an odd angle and the light caught it to give you an idea of how little smoe there was. The guy said it smeels like burnin goil and I smiled because that should be normal. But is the smokey thing normal? Anyone want to shed some light on this and tell me if all TIIs smoke from the scoop (ever so fainlty) just because of oil burnoff and heat? Could anything be wrong. (it's more like mist or thin thin fog than smoke hell it could be heat waves)

Probably just some condensation burning off. Nothing to worry about unless it continues

Actually that's probably what it was, it was 8:45 A.m. so there may have been a bunch of morning dew in the intercooler. Thanks.
