Smoke around Fuse Block
This is a good one.
For the past couple of months my 86 N/A FC has been cutting out like loss of fuel. It's not hesitation, it completely cuts out. It will usually do it above 3k. I can drive 100 miles and it will never act up then it will do it real quick and not do it again. Fuel pump is new within the past two years and the filter is brand new.
So, to add to it, I hit a bump on the freeway and the radio goes out. Got where I was going and replaced the fuse, but it wasn't the radio fuse. It was the 7.5 Room fuse. Radio came back on and everything was fine until I got home and went to back up. Radio goes out again and open hatch light comes on. So I replaced it again and started smelling smoke. I pulled the fuse and now the 7 will not turn off at all, the ignition will not turn the car off. So, I put the fuse back in and I can turn the car off. I start checking wires and everything seems fine, but the ignition wire and a couple of others are hot.
So, my question is;
Could it be the Fuse Block itself, causing problems? I hope someone has experienced this and can point a fellow FC3S owner in the right direction.
Thanks, Donnie
