I'd appreciate some help trying to diagnose this problem with my T2 RX7. Today i started the car and could smell a strong smell of fuel and I drove the car for about 10km before pulling up at some lights. At this point the engine started idling roughly and there was still a strong smell of fuel coming from somewhere. When the lights turned green i put my foot on the gas, and the engine cut off and I couldn't restart and was stuck in the middle of traffic.
When putting ignition on, the redline buzzer would sound and the tachometer would bounce up and down, so perhaps the problem is partly electrical?

There was one instance a week earlier, when I last drove the car that the engine flooded when in 1st driving at low speed which I fixed by removing the fuel injection fuses and cranking the engine.

 

Check polsation dampner, or the fuel regulator.

 

injectors are new? is it the original engine? miles? year?
