small projects w/pics.

Just a couple of small projects I’ve been working on when I have spare time.
First the dash use to be just bare aluminum with some ugly sheet metal screws holding to the dash board. I painted it with plasti dip paint and used black door edging to finish off the edge of the sheet metal. I think it looks a lot better but I’m still looking for some better black screws. I just wish I would have taken some more time to remove a couple of the small waves in the metal.

Then I’ve had this catch can lying around the garage for a while. So I made a bracket that would use existing threaded holes to mount it. The pictures don’t show the one extra bracket that I made to help support the top part if the catch can (you can see the hole). That piece was just painted and it way drying. I also use some extra S.S. braided hose and AN fittings I had lying around the garage.
This turned out pretty good…I think. But I might need to shorten the S.S. hose.

B

The wires you see hanging down are for the "2 step" I wired up....still need to finish routing them better.

thanks, I'm still thinking about a better way to mount the Microtech "dash" display.
right now it's ok but still not the way I want it.

yep, don't remember the gage. but it was thin.
once it's screwed it's pretty strong.

some day down the road I might pull it apart and make it out of thicker metal.
