Slight *SPAT* with WOP at higher RPMs...

Only happens when car is really warmed up, when flooring it, and I get up towards 5k rpms+ I might get a small *SPAT* of no acceleration. Jerks the car a bit, and you can tell what it's doing. Just curious what would cause something like that. I've got an 88 TII with a walbro 255 and 3" exhaust....everything else is rather stock.

Your hitting fuel cut due to boosting over about 8.6psi. Get a fuel cut defender. If you already have a FCD.......I'm clueless about your problem.

When I bought the car, I was told I had that. It is still able to accelerate after that spat...so if it was fuel cut, I figured I wouldn't be accelerating anymore.

*EDIT* and I'm only at 7 psi btw.

Unplug the electrical plug off of the boost sensor and try again.
This will determine if it's overboost fuel cut or not...

Electrical plug off of the boost sensor...do we have a picture showing where that is? Never heard of that piece before D:

Here is the thread of the car when it was sold....it should tell you everything on the car. I believe if I remember right...it says it's got the fuel cut defender.

Front side of the right front fender.
Black.
Rectangular in shape.
One vacuum hose on its bottom side
One electrical plug with four wires.

One wire Black/White, one wire brown/white, one wire pure black and one wire brown/red.

Oh. Read the add. Wheeeeee! A disconnected BAC causes hesitation at high rpms.

That gives some insight about the previous owner. Hee, hee.

And yes, the RTEK should have disabled the fuel cut due to overboost.

I've no idea what is the problem. Other than you can eliminalte any and all thought about the BAC being the cause. Wheeee! That made my day.

After learning more about what the BAC actually does, that's why I asked. I was under the assumption that it WAS the BAC valve, but it doesn't make sense...now I'm worried I'm doing damage to my car D:

Do you have a pic of the unit I need to unplug by chance. I took a glance at my car while I was on lunch, and couldn't find it.

Haha, I just noticed my thread title...WOP....I'm so racist sometimes
