slicks on NA drivetrain?

I was offered to borrow a set of slicks for wednesday night to see if I can get a better time. I'm know its not meant to be launched but I'd like to see what it can run.

Does anyone have experience with this? I'm a hybrid turbo so power output isnt crazy high, but I will try to lainch at 5 or 6k rpms.

I remember aaron cake running his car but I don't think he was running with a sticky tire which would save drivetrain parts I'd think.

I'm going to guess that if you don't have an LSD, you're just gonna One-Wheel-Tire-Fire it and everyone will point and giggle.

Other than that, you might be ok if you load the drivetrain up before trying to launch. Or not. Video it for posterity.

keep a spare transmission, differential and half shafts in the trunk. drivetrain slack is going to be the killer.

all i've got to say.

If you can preload the drive train perfectly and launch it really smoothly then there probably won't be any issues, that being said.... if you're a regular driver like the rest of us then you will probably break something.

It (was) a 4 lug car with an open diff. Swapped to 5 lug hubs and turbo brakes. I have a spare diff, axles and trans at my disposal, just no driveshaft. The extra diff is a LSD I just haven't had time to open and inspect it.
