Sizes of FB vs. FC

I was wondering if any of you out there had specs on the interior sizes of the FB and the FC... being a large guy i'm looking to get an RX-7 that i don't have to spend shittons of money making it comfortable to drive and am wondering just how much bigger (if at all) the FC is.

Or, if they aren't any different on the sizes i'll just stick with my plan of gutting the '83 and custom building seat brackets et all.

Well.. I'm about 6'1" 245ish and fit in the FC perfectly, and still have a few notches to kick the seat back. That's with a slight bend in the clutch leg... perfect positoin.

I taught my friend how to drive stick in the FC and he is 6'6 no joke. Fits it perfect.
My uncle has driven the car, and he's not such a small man either. He fit ok... just the GTU seats were a bit too narrow.

sweet... thanks for the info, i am 6' 6" myself and have been having hell driving with some of the early GSL's that damn handle on the door tends to pinch my leg between the door and the steering wheel at inoportune times. I guess my new car search shall shift again.

Does anyone out there consider a 1986 that has a damn straight body but doesn't run worth $750?

Sounds pretty good if the body is in good condition, no rust.

Kevin at rotary resurrection sells rebuilds pretty cheap, and does good work. He's on the forum.

Ah... sweet, i was looking for a link such as that. THe more i look around the more i realise that this will most likely be the best thing i can find right now.

Anyone know the turn around time on engines from Rotary Resurection? Especially since i would like to be driving this car ASAP after i buy it.

Alright, I'm 6'5" 170lbs and I've owned FBs and FCs.....To me, the FB seem to have more room, but the damn steering wheel was way to big, so it would get in my way. My 89 has almost as much room as a FB, but the steerring wheel is quite a bit smaller, so I can sit pretty comfertably in it. My only grip is that my legs have to sit at kind of an angle which is fine for hitting the gas and brakes with my right foot, and clutch with my left...however I have no room to rotate my leg, and haven't been able to heel-toe....but I WILL find a way, I've just been too busy trying to make it faster.

You know... i've never done heel-toe, i've allways just used one side of my foot for brake, one side of my foot for gas. A little trick i learned with my jeep wrangler that is a royal bitch to keep running during the winter. I guess thats one benifit of wide feet. Or some **** like that.
