KY Silicon(dot5)brake\clutch fluid

Has anyone used the silicon(dot5) brake\clutch fluid in thier 2nd gen? Will it hurt my 86 rx7 na?

Do not use DOT 5 fluid in your car without flushing the system completely, and I mean completely! You will likely damage the seals, resulting in brake failure.

Dot 3/4 is perfectly fine, use that.

DOT 3, 4 or 5.1 (NOT to be confused with DOT 5) all work. I use Motul DOT 5.1 in all my cars without issue.

Do not use DOT 5.

dot 5 is not hygroscopic (doesnt absorb water)

dot 4 is fine unless you autocross or brake a lot from high speeds. even at that point i would go better rotors/pads before worring about brake fluid.
