Rice is an opinion. Many would consider $30k in mods and so little performance rice. Others may consider heavy chrome rims rice as they hurt performance. Still others might consider 100lbs of stereo equipment in an already heavy 'vert rice as it hurts performance. Most here consider the large wing slowing the car w/ aerodynamic drag rice.
Nice is an opinion as well. Most here like the RE Amemiya front conversion. Most like a clean red 'vert. Most like the attention to detail in an engine bay.

Its a fine line

Actually the stock 'vert has excellent aerodynamics (although that spoiler probably robs him of at least 5 MPH at top end)

Anyway stock the 'vert with top up has the amazing low aerodynamic drag of .33 Cd (which is lower than the 86-88 GXL with sunroof open).

Even with the top down, its only .38 Cd (the same as a Porsche 928) with the 'vert buffer panel up and against the seats.

Quote;I got 135-140(stopped looking at my speedo) in my old 88 GXL

Sure, I did 140 in my old modded base and the ol TII goes right off the speedo, but you fail to realize how bad the aerodynamics of the ' vert are and how much difference that makes in top speed! My NA when stock did a rock solid 128 mph w/ lights down and only 123 w/ lights up. Aerodynamics...

again the 'vert aerodynamics are not bad...

.33 Cd with the top up.

The series 5 coupes are .32 Cd

Even the stock series 4 GXL was only .31 Cd

only the Sport had decent aerodynamics, with the aero kit lowering the drag to .29 Cd.

OK, we need Evil Aviator to whip out a formula that shows the difference of HP needed at 160MPH for .29 Cd vs .33 Cd.
Then factor in gearing and rpm at 160mph to see what the relative HP and power curves...

That's....cool....don't like the rims, the front kit is okay...but that's just me. Oh, and I don't like the spoiler. I knew I was forgetting something. Do what you want, it's your ride.

Do some of you people get online just so you can flame others or what? Dammit, I can understand if you think the car's not that good-looking but damn, you gotta mess with his clothes, too?

In any case jcina, the only problem I can find is the color and the headlight conversion. I see too many red cars everyday and I'm a pop-up nut. The conversion looks good, but hell, I'd put pop-ups on a Viper if I could manage it, so that's just me. As far as I'm concerned, the spoiler looks fine, unlike all the damn F&F ricers that keep using the aluminum R-1 wings and ****. As for rims, they look good too, although I'll probably never get rid of the originals.

Actually with his 'vert he has added at least another couple hundred lbs, and screwed the aerodynamics all to hell.

I doubt that the car could hit 130 with the mods he has described, and most certinly not with the top down.

thanks a lot, everyone seems to have at lease let up off my clothes, i guess the naked picture fixed that. i think ill fit right in here...(*hopes) well, mayse a turbo down th eline isnt that far off from a reality. lets talk about prices. how much do you all think it will cost to change a n/a to turbo? do i just have to buy a t2 car? i know ill need mor than that, cause i wont be using the stocl intercooler, alone. what is a good guess for getting my car turboed up the right way, and beyond stock, but enough to remain a dauily driver, where my engine could still last 100.000 mi b4 needing a new engine.

and i get a little over 120 with the top up (i have gone up to 130 but the road i was on was extremly long and straight, took forever)
