Should This Be A Problem

ok, after doing some serious speeds on the highway, or doing fast acceleration, sometimes i pop flames. a couple nights ago i went drifting after it rained and i was popping flames like theres no tomorrow. my friend taka was concerned and was worried my engine is gonna blow up. is there n e thing i could do to either: stop popping flames...or to make it run better?

that is just unburned fuel in the exhaust, and the engine backfiring. if u have no cats, or a very free flowing exh, then u will get the gift of fire. be happy, there are some people who ask day in and day out "how can i get my rx7 to shoot flames"
but dont be worried, its just the fiery breath of the rotary

...if you're backfiring, you are definitely NOT running lean. You are igniting unburn fuel. But if you have racing beat headers, how are you opening your six port?

Six port opens with exhaust pressure right?
