Lightbulb should i be worried about this problem?

ok, i got a 87 s4 no mods on the engine other than a barak obama sticker.

i just changed my fan that was broken and was rattling my engine along with the water pump. i was on my way to work this beautiful good friday heading down the 91 west from Wilmington exit. i came to the on right traffic light and waited for my green. then i gunned it. pulls really great untill about the 5k on the rpm and i get a slight hesitation then it picks back up again. shift into the next gear and again.. a lil hesitation around the same rpm, then it kicks in again. im worried this might be a bit bigger than i can handle.. any ideas where i should start trouble shooting? am i losing compression? the engine has about 30k on a rebuild. i change my fluids on time and what not.. cant imagine what it could be.

I had a similar issue a while back. I started with the TPS, it was bad, but the symptoms got better, but not gone. I took my spark plugs out and saw that one of the insulators on the firing side had broken off. Replaced that and all was good in the world.

So start off with the TPS and leading plugs.

yeah tps is a good place to look, it might be on its way out and its out of operating range under wot,

if you had a compresison issue uw ould have problems at either all rpms, or lack of power at lower rpms.
