Should I sell it?
Okay, heres the deal. I have an 86 N/A with abotu 120k, very very clean interior. But the U-Joints are tightening (and according to what I've read means I'll have ot get a new driveshaft), it still has a nagging idle problem and recently it came out of gear twice. Once on the freeway in 5th, just popped into neutral. The second time was on city streets and made a nasty noise.
I wouldnt be so worried about putting this money into it if I didn't want to sell it in the next few years anyways (i'd like something faster, better looking).
But as a college student buying a used car isnt something I really want to deal with, and I'm worried I wouldnt be able to sell this one anyways because of the problems I mentioned.
Anyone have any advice or comments? I'm just trying to sort this out. Thanks.

[sales pitch]
Or [i/]my[/i] tranny and driveshaft... because i'm in CA .
[/sales pitch]
In all honesty though, you're probably right about having difficulty selling the car as is. It will also probably be relatively easy to fix it though -- swapping out the tranny and driveshaft can be done in less than a day as long as you have some very basic tools, a jack and jackstands -- I'm pretty sure that's a lot less effort than it would be to sell the car and find another!
Good luck!,

PS let me know if you do decide to do that, I may have some parts that could be of use to ya.
