Should i replace these motor mounts?

In the middle of this swap into my vert...just dropped the TII motor in yesterday...used the same motor mounts that the Na motor was in there with.. my question is how much should the engine be able to swing front and back with just the motor in there...ive done a search and people talk a lot about symptoms of bad motor mounts but these looked to be in good shape..no cracks, rubber felt stiff.. after dropping the motor and tightening the mounts to the subframe there is zero side to side movement but i can take one finger and rock it back and fourth about 3 inches..enough to bump the steering rack with the front cover...i know once the tranny is in and bolted down that will help brace it fore and aft but i cant remember if this is normal play or if it should feel more firmly in place?

your test is flawed, you're swinging 300lbs on rubber pivots...

the mounts don't have to work in the direction you are messing with. but if you try hard enough, you probably could get them to fail prematurely.
