Ive been working on my fc for nearly 4 years now and all thats left is a motor. I have a supra mk3 with rod knock and my buddy wants to trade for a 13brew along with a greddy emanage and other lil things. Should I trade? Last few nights ive done hours of reading on this swap and seems like a great deal of work and time but dont mind it at all. Ill be welding a new crossmember in and I think that is the hardest part. As far as wiring goes dont think it ahoukd be too bad. And does any1 know of a write up on it is. Fc3spros is no longer there. Any input or advice of tackling this swap would be great. And I know its in faq just trying to decide what to do. Thanks guys

 

Depends what you want to do with it. Deleting everything unnecessary and running a single turbo on a standalone is very different endeavor from doing a full stock swap with sequential twins, working check engine light and passes CA smog. Personally, I wouldn't suggest it.

 

An REW engine is gonna be a pain to put in an FC.
The RE however is a lot easier.

 

I did read up that the re is alot easier. Dont have the money right now to go single standalone but in future I will. For now just goin to full stock swap. Not too worried about smog my lady's cuz. Does smog under table for like 2 bills I think
