Should I get this flywheel?

This is a 14 pound flywheel sold by fc3s.org

http://www.speedmachineperformance.c...l?v=1&pid=3740

Anyone have any input on this flywheel. Will it work well with the stock clutch and pressure plate? What are the downsides to using a lighter flywheel? Harder to start from a stop?

If you have any suggestions for other flywheels I would greatly appreciate it.

thanks

the 14lb on is nice for the street not to light , the 9lb one is a little tougher but the motor will rev more freely , I saw that SPD racing had them for $209.00

I have the 14lb one and i cant say that i have a whole lot to compare it to but i know i definatly love it. I am using the act 6 puck as well. I'd have to say good bang for the buck.

I just switched from the stock flywheel to the ACT lightweight.
I took me about 2 weeks to retrain my shifting habits to get the faster rev matching right.
Now my double pedal down shifts sound almost like the in-car video from an F1 car.

My J-spec came from an automatic, so I already had the counterweight.

Pending on what type of driving you do,(drag-use heavier flywheel, autoX-light flywheel) i'm using a 9.5lb flywheel with a ACT 6 puck and I love the setup, so i would have to recommend getting a lightened FW if you like to autox, drift, ect...

yeah, 7's are meant for fast cornering anyway, so maybe I'll go light.

thanks for all the input
