Should I cancel my rear wiper??

My rear hacth is pretty bad and full of rust and crap, I got an s4 parts car but it's a base model, it doesn't have a rear wiper. So, should I replace my rear wacth and cancel the rear wiper. Rear wiper is no big deal for me, it's just something that originally came with the car and I feel kinda bad taking it off. You guys think I should just cancel it out?

I swapped mine out last weekend. I found a perfect window on a car in Pick and Pull with no rear wiper, no cracks in the window, and none of that crappy purple tinting. Why, you ask, did I do this? I've noticed that even if it's raining, once you're moving forward, you don't need the rear wiper. Also, I really like the look without it. More of a sleek-looking design. I know it makes my GXL look like a base model, but I don't think it looks bad. Next week, I'm going to get the windows tinted black a little bit to help out the look of the car, which is also black.

On a side note, I still have the original glass/wiper assbly for sale if you want. I haven't gotten around to posting it yet. The wiper worked just fine before I replaced the window.

Its up to you if you don't mind. I had a '88 SE before and wished it had a rear wiper when it rained. But I was thinking about trying Rain-X on the hatch glass when I had the SE.
