Should I buy this 7?

I found an 88 rex on craigslist, here is what the posting says:
"I am selling my 88 rx7. Just bought a new car and don't have time to complete the work on it. Just dropped in a newer engine, ECU, and mas air flow sensor out of a 89' rx7 gtu. Engine has less than 10,000 miles on it. Have also installed leather bucket seats and smoked circular tail lights. Can't get engine to start at this time so car is not drivable. Problem is the fuel pump cyliniod also has problem with the crank angle sensor, easy fix for those who know rotaries. I need to sell this car as soon as possible. Might be willing to trade for first gen MR2. Will only deal face to face and in cash."

His price is $1,000

would it be worth to go through that or move on to something better?

any help would be great. thanks.

$500.

Non running fc's go cheap. I bought my se for $280, it was justified seeing as all the audio **** they left in there was worth more than that alone!

Lowball him.

Call back every 4 days or so. If he gets desparate to get rid of it, it's yours.
