i know a guy selling a 87 gxl for 300 dollars. It has leather and the interior is great. It is currently an auto. Im in iowa and i dont know where to get a good rebuild without sending it along ways. I have quite a bit of mechanical history under my belt. Ive rebuild v8's but i hear its maybe not worth the time to do it yourself cause there are so many seals. Is a special tool required to remove the apex seals? Any suggestion on seals. Two piece or one piece? I know if i convert it to a manual i will have to put a pedal in and pressure plate and all that but i heard you cant use a auto housing and connect a manual tranny. This real?
