Should this hose not be hooked up? *pic*

Ok, since I bought the car, I've been wondering about this hose and it's disconnectedness. Should it not be connected to something? If not, why would the previous owner have disconnected it?

its normal. if the coolant resovoir overflows, it comes out that bit of hose...

thats how its supposed to be. it just looks funky because the red hose is sticking straight out instead of pointing down towards the ground.

The factory hose had a bend in it at the end of the tank where it went down the side of the tank. Unless it bothers you looking like that i wouldnt worry about it.
