Short Ram Intake

I am putting in a short Ram intake to my 91 RX7 vert. then getting a resistor hooked up to my car. Does anyone know if this will gain me more horsepower off of the line or is a cold air intake better? I want input before completing it please help

getting a resistor hooked up to your car? honestly, you probably wont notice any difference with either. i would go with a cold air intake though

yeah, that resistor thing is a scam. Hope you didn't pay too much for it. Make a cold air box to keep the hot air out of the intake.

actually, the resistors he is talking about are different. Granted they do the same thing as the ebay ones but they are spliced into the ECU and have the same effect but cost closer to $100. I still don't think they are a good way to spend 100 bux. I've never seen these before but from what I read they aren't too different than the resistors we're used to seeing on ebay.

here is his new thread: I dunno why he made a new one.

You fell for a SCAM!

Resistors or adjustable resistors will either lean or richen your AFR. Scary thing think of where your lean spots are and how much leaner they will be when you put the resistor on.

short ram intake = less hp

Keep the stock intake or design a low restrition CAI.
