short or battery????
here is another for you ... my car was starting fine... then when i went to go get gas the thing would not start at all... i mean it was like the battery was completely dead... but when we jumped it it was fine... weak start but... it still did start... NEW BATTERY in there too.... i have a push button start... but other than that all the wiring was fine.... the other thing is that when i jump started it... it was driving fine with 14 volts on the meter.... no down fall of power... the other thing is that the stereo was cuting on and off.... I dont understand??? If it was a short why would it start when the jumper cables are on... if it was a dead battery... Well its ******* new... and it started perfect just 15 minutes prior... I dont understand... The only thing I think it might be is the battery clips? But if so why the jumping makes it work? REMEMBER AUTO TO MANUAL SWAP ON A SERIES 4...IF THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT...

you need at least a voltmeter to diagnose problem correctly. having battery load tested would eleminate battery. then check battery terminal connections and cables, best to do voltage drop tests on them. check the voltage and amp output of alternator, many shops will do that for free. then look at starter...
