Shold I buy this t2?

Car has 137000 miles, has been sitting in a garage for a year or so.. The person told me that the car floods every now and then, and that someone rigged a button or a switch to the fuel pump to shut if off so that he can crank it over and unflood it that way.

Isn't that a sign of low compression??

I really don't care about the body condition but he only wants 1500 for it. Its the car thats in massachusetts. lawrence.. http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/car/311955449.html

he sent me another pic of the rear end of the car. The mufflers are rotted and theres a dent in the back area around the license plate.

I told the guy that I was going up there today around 5.. but if that engine is no good then I guess I will not.

Flooding isn't necessarily due to low compression, but the two can definitely be related.

The car looks a little beat up. Go there with a compression guage and a jumper box or cables (so you can get some good rpms on a dead battery and test the compression) and go from there.
