Well when I was out on the highway earlier today I was accelerating in 3rd to try and change lanes. I go to switch to 4th at around 5.5-6k and the stick won't move. It was stuck in 3rd. I had to let the rpms drop in order to get out of 3rd and switch to 4th. I realize it has to be the clutch that is at the heart of the problem. My throw-out bearing has been close to gone for sometime now. I haven't had a chance to replace the clutch yet. It makes a nice whirring at idle without the clutch depressed. I was just wondering if this would be one of the final signs of the bearing saying "arrivaderci!!" or if there is some other problem occurring as well? I tried searching nothing about the car not wanting to change gears. Any help will be great! Thanks guys!
