Shineautoproject fc bumper

Has anyone bought a front bumper from this guy. I see he has posted on here before and it appears he makes good stuff. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-8...spagenameZWDVW
Thats a link to the bumper I was looking at getting. Does anyone have any experiance with them? Do they work with front mounts? I just put a greddy fmic kit on my S4 and was looking to get a bumper that didnt need to be hacked up. What do you guys think?

IceMark had bought a front bumper from them. I know it had a defect so insted of shipping it they went and made him a new one.

I got sideskirts from them and they are honestly the best I have delt with. I will defanitly put my name on recomendation.

Anyone with a front mount try it? I'm going to get the side skirts later on I guess. The front mount is my project now though! Thanks alot for the advice.

99% of the bumpers will require modifying for a FMIC.

Yes, I have one. I also have one of their rear hatch spoilers for my 10thAE.

While it did "fit" okay, and was reasonably straight, it did require some filing, body filler and sanding to make perfect.

It is by no means a factory replacement part (but then most body kits are not). As with most kits be prepared to do some fitting and minor body work to it or pay someone too.

You could (with modifications to it) make it fit around a front mount just fine. If you put the Front mount in back of the stock bumper support, there would not be any issues at all.

There are probably hundreds of pictures of my car in its various stages. Just none with the shine bumper on it as it is a somewhat new modification.

I have a 99 SC300 now.

The 92 SC400 went to the big junkyard in the sky, some woman pulled in front of my wife and the insurance totalled it.

damn, that sucks man, it was a clean ride.

I'm looking for a sc300 myself, but I want a manual, so I'm looking for 97 or earlier....

I need a little more reliable DD. the vert is fun though...

their location is 20 minutes from my house.... i went there and was absolutely astonished at all of the fc stuff they have..... they have a turbo 2 sitting in the middle of their shop, the owner (ken) showed me around and showed me all the parts.... the fitment on the stuff was very nice.... i bought the original mazdaspeed hood scoop they used for the mold of their version.... and its identical.... fits the same, no differences.... if i wasnt so partial to original parts, i would have just bought their copy

i would put my stamp of approval on all of their parts

Here are a couple pictures, I just snapped this afternoon.

1st one with FTP,

The 2nd one is before the FTP were mounted.

Sorry about the size.

I'll take some more in the next couple of days that don't have my other cars in them and so you can see all sides.

Next steps will be the S5 Turbo side skirts and body trim. The rear bumper and body trim are already S5 ones that I painted at the same time as the front bumer to match.

I am running a used Jspec S4 Turbo motor with a M50 tranny, light steel flywheel, and the S5 Turbo rear end with a non turbo flange on it.

Trying to keep it as light as possible so kept the stock TMIC and using the heavy duty vert tranny saved probably 50-75lbs over going with a FMIC and a Turbo's R type tranny.

I have another S4 Turbo motor that is rebuilt and being set up to run a Megasquirt with a custom harness that when the mega squirt comes in I will swap out. Hoping the Jspec lasts long enough (compression was only 90 psi when I last checked it) to get the Mega squirt and rebuilt turbo motor in.

Its sitting in the corner of the garage on a stand right now. It is a ballsy little thing and kept up with the Turbos just fine on the last couple of road trips.

I like the motor, and am keeping my eye out for a 86-87 Sport or a 88 GTU to put it in. Just wanted a little more power in the vert. I am thinking that in a lighter coupe it will be a better choice of a match.

And the vert won't be so much like a S2000 (real power is not made below 4000+ RPM) with the Turbo motor.

Very nice Mark. I like the bumper too. Nice to see an FC stay true to it's original form, yet be different enough to make it unique and special... Exactly my goals w/ my vert -- hopefully mine will turn out as nice!
