shifter vibration

ok, lately ive been enjoying the 0-60 in 6.3 seconds of my 1987 turboii

however, when that redline buzzer is singing i reach over to shift and feel a really strong vibration in the shifter (it normally vibrates, but at redline its going nuts) this is the only stickshift car i've ever owned, is this normal?

Ya, it's normal for older cars, might need to replace the transmission/engine mounts to help with this.
