Shifter sticks to the left

Hello Everyone
a week ago, my shifter began to stick to the left when i put it in 1st and 2nd gear.
First it was really hard to get out of 1st gear for the shifter, it seemed like something was grabbing on to the shifter. The car is out of 1st gear, but the shifter won't go into 2nd easily.

So i changed the bushings, hoping it was that... upon opening i saw a broken lower bushing spring. so got that in,
now the shift feels better, but my shifter still stays in the left when i shift to 1st and 2nd.

before this happened, i noticed the return from 1st gear back to neutral was a little slow and sloppy, but i thought it was the bushings

what can be the problem of my shifter?
Thanks

btw, 5th gear and reverse is fine, the shifter springs back when i push it to the right, but it just does that when i pull it to the left.

Sounds like the spring at the tranny is partially broke and hanging up. Pull the shifter and stick a magnet in the hole and see if you can fish out any broken pieces. Fixed mine until the next time we pull the tranny. Good luck!

I see a spring directly above the hole where the shifter should go.
I think that spring is the one which controlls the rebound from the 5th and reverse gear

so i guess i'll use a magnetic scope and check it out

anyone else have any other ideas?
