Well it started about 5 months ago. was messing around and broke my driveshaft. it spun and snapped the tail enmd of the tranny. Next day dropped everythgin got a new driveshaft couple weeks later swapped trannys(had one in my shed) and got it all together, when to test drive it, and it would only go into first and second, buti had to slam it to get it to go in the gears, got pissed dropped it went a local guy bought a tranny from him, swapped it and it had the same problem, drove it to him in 2nd lol. he said it was the bolt holding a spring that held a ball in the shifter box, he "fixed" it. i got it back about a week ago(got sidetracked working on my conquest rofl) and it had all the gears, but he didnt put the mount up, he ratchet straped it, so i went and put the mount on drove it to the gas station
of course... then was driving a buddy to work and all of a sudden it was a biotch to get into third, grinded its way in. and it wouldnt go to 4th or 5th not even reverse. I wanna fix it without having to buy transmission number 3. Any suggestions? is it internal or what?
Thanks,
Sam

are you sure your clutch is disengaging properly? The clutch not disengaging will cause it to be very difficult to get into gear.
Have you tried rev matching to the next gear when it gives you problems?
