what keeps me from shifting into a low gear when going fast, cause it doesnt work. yesterday i was at the track and i shifted from 4th to first. the bushings or what ever holds the shifter into place are gone out of sight. could that be it or what need serious help. dont ever want to do that again. and since that probably is a good way to blow your engine and tranny i dont want it to happen again.

 

You don't need "serious help"- although your transmission might after a downshift from fourth to first- you just need new bushings in your shifter housing.
They are cheap and easily replaced.
