shift light flashes on and off while in 5th gear?

shift light flashes on and off while in 5th gear?
as stated in title=shift light flashes on and off while in 5th gear? whats unhooked or broke? maybe wire off somewhere near starter?

5th gear (over the top) switch is disconnected or broken

The 5th gear switch is called the over the top switch in the FSM
