Shift Lever Question

I did a search and found that the FD and Miata shift levers are generally interchangeable with a N/A FC (90 vert). Are there any other Mazda shift levers that will interchange on a N/A FC (90 vert)? I am heading out to the junk yard today to do some looking. Thanks!

The Fd and Miata Shifter **** thread pattern is the same.
Is there a Difference in Shift throw though?.(not sure)
Are you just trying to replace the shifter or make the shifter have a shorter Throw?.(less distance between 1st and 2nd,3rd and 4th).
There are Crappy Ebay Miata Shifters that you can get for like 40 bucks. But that is what they are.Crap.
Search out a C's Shifter or Mazdatrix shifter if you paln to get a short throw..Ya,I know COST..but you are gonna be using up more or the damn things compared to just One of the Better(more expensive) ones.
I went through 3 of them in a year,.I hated the damn bushings on the bottom,.I got a C's and it had a Stock size ball on the bottom of the shifter,That solved the Crappy bushing syndrome.

I bought this car used a year ago and recently the shift **** came right off the lever while shifting. Evidently the moron who owned it before me sawed the thing off and basically left one thread on the top of the lever so the shift **** does not want to stay on. My first thought was to just buy a new stock replacement from or short throw from Mazdatrix but the cost made me wonder if something else would fit given Mazda has used some parts universally from model to model over the years. I'm hoping someone has in fact been able to put one in from say a 626 or another model that will show up in the junk yards in larger numbers than the RX7. Unfortunately, all the Mazdas at the yard today were all automatics so I couldn't pull anything to try. Thanks for the comments though guys.

Just go to the for sale section on the forum, you can probably get a used shifter for almost nothing.

I have an S5 stock shifter with a new bushing on it, possibly if I look I may have fairly new bushings for the bottom of the shifter too that I can include, if I remember right, it should also have a pretty much new oil boot on it. I'll PM you.
