Shift **** Dosen't Fit!!!

I just bought a 87 TII shift **** for my 91 n/a. (I liked the way it looks) The problem, it is too big to fit the shifter! ANy ideas?

yeah get the shifter arm from a 86-88 model and swap it out with your 89-91 arm. the earlier arms wer wide at the top. while the 89-91 were really thin at the top where the threads were. hope that helps

Unless you miracuosly find an adapter, you'll need a S4 shifter. I wish I'd known that was a S4 shift **** you bought, I would have told you it wouldn't fit.

(I'll trade you one for your S5 **** and shifter )

Deal. I'll need your address. My shift **** is a little worn though, but not bad. Will the shifters just swap like that? Also, I can't give ya the shifter bushings, cuz they are only about a month old! Sorry!

s4 shifters are a larger diameter than s5's (which are the same size as the fd)
