That seems to be one of the eternal FC questions. I've got the same problem at times and I've seen this posted before with no satisfactory answers.

It's not your redline buzzer (well, technically, I guess it is) - it's either the LOW COOLANT or LOW OIL warning...

I know the buzzer is actually the same unit that works for all the idiot lights and the redline. I have recently heard the buzzer sound at just under 6000 R's. Other times, I can take it up to 7500 with no buzzer. I check the oil about every third day and top it off about every other week, so I know the oil level is ok (the oil level buzzer is usually accompanied by a warning light too) I have no air bubbles in my coolant system an my temp has never gone above normal so i doubt if that is the case either. (I have also seen the low coolant light with that buzzer warning)
What I am wondering is, are the redline warning buzzers set up similar to upshift lights? I know if you are normally driving and the shift light comes on, you can still accelerate in the same gear and make the light go out. (if you accelerate fast enough) I have noticed the buzzer seems to come on at lower R's if I am not really getting into the gas pedal. I always rev mine up to at least 5000-6000 to shift even when I am just driving in traffic.
