Of set tires

I am looking at the Tripoint motors flare fender body kit but to have my rims and tires (17x10) match up with the new fenders i will need to put in aprox 2.5 inch offset spacers, so they will be even with the fenders.
How much if any difference will this make to my steering, suspension, braking ect....i was told it will be harder on the suspension but there is no way to get around this with the flare kit. My thought was it is only about 2.5 inches on each side it shouldn't make any noticable difference, if anything i may get better stability in cornering from the wider wheel base.
What do you guys think ?

Sell your wheels and get some with the correct offset
