Exclamation Seriously the worse shape 7 EVER!!!

**note: this is not my car*** so i am in the middle of fixing this uber POS at my work. the car was stalling / flooding out all of the time and so i replaced all of the injectors with a used but known working set i had. (that was a PITA) and still no start. mostly because it was so rediculously flooded. So i got new plugs to replace the ones that where in there. Those werent too pretty. Fouled hardcore. so then its starting to jump and get going a bit. after some ATF and the biggest cloud of smoke ever (didnt know where i was going in it...couldnt see DAYLIGHT!!!) we got the car to fire up. now here is what really sucks. its dies anything less than ike 3.5K. which is an est. because the kid put this retarded cluster cover thing in there and in the process the tach sits 1k lower than it should. so normal idle looks like 200 rpms on the tach.

here are some of my concerns / suspected problems.

-when we were cranking with the plugs out there was a weird metal sound coming from it. i dont know if the massive amounts of gasoline rid the oil from it or something but it sounded like metal on metal scraping. none of my other cars (which might i add work) ever sounded like this when i cranked without the plugs in. My fear --> Apex seal(s) are going and/or gone. seeing this kid abused the beejesus out of this thing, i wouldnt doubt it.
-we reused the the LIM to UIM gasket and it may be leaking. there is a line from the thermowax to a smallish dashpot on the TB that is loose and leaking.
-ive played with the TPS (which is going bad)
-ive played with the various idle adjustments but nothing works
-havent checked the timing yet but seems possible.
-the O2 sensor wire is completely melted off. meaning, no O2 reading.

GAHH!!!!! this car is such a beater too. and this is way i remove all the emissions crap from my 7s.

Star by taking a compressson test to see condition of engine. If it stalls at lower rpm's does sound like a large vacuum leak. All intact ductwork sealed tight?

seems so. any bolts could not be anytighter. i am going to check compression today. ran out of time yesterday to do it. if that seems good, then im going with the spraying starter fluid on each vac connection and anyplace a vac leak can occur to see what thay yields.

the funny part is the kid wants to sell the car for 1000 bucks!!!! NO CHANCE. running it would be worth 400. he is getting charged 300 for all of the crap we have had to do on it. (that does include parts though). maybe ill just end up with the car as a payment.
