Series 5 tubro question

Ok, I have a series 5 turbo/manifold on my 87TII. Will the wastegate still open at the stock series 4 pressure? I don't want to be overboosting or anything.

Thanks

Aaron

I have the same setup and there was no change in actual amount but the change i felt was a quicker spool up......feels even better after the TB mod.

If you bypass the boost solenoid normally on a Kouki turbo system, it'll revert back to the Zenki 5.5psi boost level.

Since he'll ask,

Zenki = Series 4 (means BEFORE)

Kouki = Series 5 (means AFTER)

Ted, that FSM says max boost for the S4 was 6.56psi; how come 5.5psi keeps being mentioned? Just curious.

Yeah, I saw that too, but I think it also mentions that's a quick transient, and the boost levels actually come down the closer you get to redline.
