Series 4 Turbo II...wheres my EGR valve?

Got the intake off but I still can't find the EGR valve. I see a flat plate with two bolt holes, but theres no passages underneath like an EGR valve would have. Does anyone have any pics of the top of the motor with the intake off so i can try to locate this thing?

Its on the lower intake,facing the firewall directly above the turbo downpipe.Looks like a gold dashpot and its got a heatshield on the lower portion.

Is it part of the Air Control Valve?

do you have a japanese motor. from my understanding they didnt have an EGR valve. At least mine doesn't. Not sure if this will cause smogging problems when the time comes.
