Series 4 flywheel?

can someone tell me if it's a solid piece or if it's two metals together?
a friend of mine said he could machine my stock flywheel down to a lighter weight, around 17 lbs

any responses about this would be great

thanks

I would think that if you machined it, you'd have to possibly use a different counterweight?

i've read that after getting a lightened flywheel normally you need a counterweight from an automatic trans, with the 7 anyway, i don't know about other cars...

any other input?

if anyone's ever done this before, could milling it down maybe .25" all around take enough weight off to make a difference

or is this just a shot in the dark?
