Serial Numbers! I NEED HELP

Where is the serial number for the engine???? i need to find out what year my engine is because it's brand new! bah....and also how do i fix the pulsation dampener, so it wont drip fuel on the manifold? does the pulsation damepner come wtih the engine or is it in the engine bay? please HELP

I should be stamped on the front iron, right next to the alternator on the driver's side.

The PD is directly behind the alternator below the upper intake plenium, it can be noticed by a brown round plastic cover. Stick your nose down there and if you smell raw gas fix it, if you dont then its ok...

Ooops forgot to say the PD is connected to the end of the fuel rail
