Sequential turbos on an FC?

Anyone ever tried it? What would you need to do it?

First you would need some factory insanity, and some aftermarket schitzophrenia.

One turbo can make anywhere from 250-700 hp. (Not the same turbo, obviously. Just saying SINGLE turbo)

Why would you want this extra hassle?

Think about what the FD and Supra guys do when they want more power = they go single turbo.

Nope, the twins are usually very tiny.

From what I understand the idea of twins is to try to decrease turbo lag. On a huge single turbo it will take a while for it to spool up. So the idea being you put a smaller one on there to get things starting so when the big guy comes on it will not be a big jolt of boost. I have ridden in cars with big single turbos… Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, BAM Whhhrrrrrr!!!! It’s kewl but damn it took a while.

The fd has lots of problems because of its twin turbo set-up. And yes, no one upgrades to bigger twins, they buy singles.

Yes, that powerband isn't too useful, but it is f*cking sweet when it gets that kick.
Anyone ever driven the escudo in GT3? That's what a huge turbo is like, just not to that extent.
