Sensors, Coils, Etc. Compatability?

I recently assisted with the swap of a 1987 engine into a 1988 chassis and had some minor issues that I thought were due to the N326 to N327 ECU changeover... They weren't...

However, I just have a bit of curiosity on something:

I noticed that the TPS, MAP, MAF, Coils, BAC Valve, hell, even the Air box was stamped with the same number of the ECU. So now, I can tell by looking at each of the parts in the engine bay which car the parts came from.

Is there any difference between coils per different applications? (S4, S5, Turbo, N/A, Injector impedance, etc)

What about the sensors, etc...

I know the injectors have different impedances throughout the years and different flow rates per N/A and turbo models.. But what about everything else?

only difference is injectors and the associated resistor pack. everything else is interchangeable.

Pressure/boost sensor is different. AFM is different. All other sensors are the same within a series.

^

Are there cutoff dates or just the N326/327/350 part number?
I was only aware of the S4/S5 AFM differences.
