sensor in radiator question. please help!

FL sensor in radiator question. please help!

my koyo got destroyed so i picked up a godspeed radiator for my s5 turbo2 fc. i know i should have gotten another koyo but it wasnt in the budget. it did not have a hole to screw this sensor in.(the one on bottom of rad, drivers side, 2 wires) do i needto have it hooked up? what does it do?. i live in floridaand its always hot idk if its for cold starts or anything. please let me know! thanks guys!

It's a sensor which detects whether the high rev start is a go or not when the engine is undergoing a cold start.This type of start up is based on the temp of the coolant. The sensor isn't required.

It is for the water temp switch. Tells the ECU if the temp is over 67*(i think) I did have some starting problems with my car when this was reading wrong in my 87 Turbo. (turned out to be the ECU)
HOWEVER you said that you got it for your s5 turbo. Only the S4s had them.

it used to be a s4, the motor was swapped to a s4 before i got it. butthe sensor was still there. thanks for the help. so i can just unplug it and everything will work fine?.
